Stairway to Heaven - Led Zeppelin
Chromatic notes and 7th chords
First complete sequence (finger picking).

Things to listen for if you have this track:
- It is interesting to note that this rock ballad uses the same descending
bass line as the Typical Jazz Standard Chromatic Progression in the Key
of A Minor
tthat was highlighted in the Chord Extensions
section.
The effect in Stairway is less jazzy because the chords are picked rather than strummed. This is a good example of how the feel of a set of chords can be changed simply by using a different technique.
- Try playing the picking sequence with a chorus or flange effect and notice how the effect broadens the sound and adds depth.
